This magazine cover is for a publication that explores the history of Joliet and highlights its important landmarks and locations. This magazine is intended for readers of all ages. The Goal was to make the imagery feel inviting and welcoming.
The challenge was using oil pastels for the artwork since it was my first time working with them. However, after taking things slow, I got the hang of it. I also had to go out and take a photo before recreating the scene in oil pastel.
